    Hi,

re. MesoColumn pages, posts and categories

Firstly thanks for the great theme!

I’m just getting started with MesoColumn on a BuddyPress site. When I create a page (as opposed to a post) it is given a category; the default being Uncategorized. There doesn’t appear to be a way to prevent this or change the category, since categories are usually only applied to Posts.

I’d rather not have categories assigned to pages. Is there a way round this?

    Thanks,
    Alex

i have no idea what you meant? i dont think there’s any meta box for choosing category in wp-admin->write->page.

check if it infact a post or page you write your blogpost.
or is it a custom post type which doesn’t come with this theme.

OK. Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough, or sent you down the wrong path.

I created a page (not a post) and set that to be a static front page. Now I have a turquoise line with “Uncategorized” written above it on my front page. This is shown in the link to a screenshot below. This line and word also appear on all Pages, not just the front page. How do I remove the line and the word Uncategorized on Pages (including the front page)?

    Worked a treat! Many thanks.
…and thanks for the responsive support you give to this theme. Much appreciated.
