    Hi,

It’s problem that touches both the dashboard and the site. On the Page section, it says I created 8 pages (I did), but it will only show three of them (even if I click on show “all”). On the main page of the Dashboard though, it says I only have 3 pages.

I created a page name “Credits”. It’s not showing up. If I follow the URL I gave it, I got a 404. If i try to create another “Credits” page, it’s default name will be “Credits-2” (and if I try again, “Credits-3”). The total number of pages in the Page section will increase accordingly. But not on the main Dashboard. And the pages created are nowhere to be found.

I’d like to be able to delete them, at least…

    Thanks for any tip.

    P.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    Hi,

Thank you for your time and attention!

I did all of the above. I logged out, empty my brower’s cache, logged back in. Still the same problem. In the Page section, here’s what I see:

    All (9) | Published (5) | Trash (1)

But even when I select “All” I only see 5 Pages. And I have no draft. It’s like if the pages were produced, somewhere, but never added to the site.

One other thing : my sitemap shows only 5 pages.

    Try repairing your database.

I just did it, through phpMyAdmin. Repair went fine: I got an “OK” status on each and every table.

But the problem is still there the “All” view doesn’t show the same number of pages it announces.

    Thanks,

    Try emptying your Trash.

    Nope, it’s not the solution.

I’ve tried to delete the pages (I know their names) directly into the database (and run another repair). But it’s not working.

One of those fantom page was (is) called “Credits”. When I create a page with that name, I still get those URL “credits-3”. Meaning WordPress still thinks two other pages with the same name exist somewhere.

    OK,

Fixed : I hadn’t deleted ALL the instance of the fantom pages in the table of my database. Now it’s done and the Page section is again displaying the correct number of pages.

Thanks for your support and Happy Thanksgiving to you,

    P.
