I'm assisting a friend of mine with a blog and I cannot figure out why pages (even brand-new ones!) are showing blog posts instead of the actual content for the page. Please check it out for yourself here and click any of the pages under the header image ... http://spiceandtaste.com/ Any ideas?...

Have you made any changes to e.g. index.php or page.php etc.?

Hi - thank you for the very prompt reply. I've been at it with her blog since 5 hours ago (off and on) and I've had WP blogs for years and have never seen such strange behavior. I just asked and she said she has not edited any of those files. She just tried to set up the blog within the admin panel.

Perhaps it might be an idea to download and upload a fresh copy of all the template files for Twenty Ten?

Other than that, I'm thinking it could be a settings issue somewhere? If there aren't too many modifications, you could even consider a fresh install by exporting the content and re-importing again.

It looks like a very useful site (the recipes look yum, definitely!) so I will be bookmarking it :)

Thank you for your response. It was indeed a setting. I was experimenting earlier with permalinks. It is a "recipes" add-on that was in the blog that caused the issue. It has a bad slug that was referencing a category and was causing a real mess. Resetting all of the settings for that fixed the issue. Is there any way I can go about getting the URL removed from my initial post? Thanks for your suggestions.

Glad you managed to resolve it, thefoxbox :) I think one of the admins will have to help you out with removing the link I'm afraid as we can only edit posts up till a certain length of time.

Yes, you are correct! I had even bookmarked the edit link but no luck for me. Thanks again for your support! Have a great day.

I'm afraid we have a policy of not removing stuff.
