Pages appear as Feeds (5 posts)

This is a problem I've been having for a while, across many versions of WordPress.

Sometimes, when I click on a link to a target in my blog (a link to a post, a category, a page, etc.) the browser will think that it's loading an RSS feed and asks me what I want to do with it. (My example: browser is Firefox.) The address is what I clicked on, but the page is still treated like a feed (with all the recent posts in feed-like form.)

When I refresh the browser, the page loads as expected, but I've had numerous readers complain about this, so I know it's not just me. I have no idea what I should look for to correct this. Any ideas? (blog: http://averagejoe.cc)

I clicked quite a lot on your site but couldn't reproduce the error...

Nor could I. I also checked web sniffer and your content is being sent as HTML (like it should), which was my first thought.

Yes, unfortunately, the error seems to come and go, but it definitely appears at times (as it did today both before and after I updated to 2.3.1)

Update: Just got the error again. I did a view source of the resulting page, and it definitely is an RSS feed.

The view of the page's (post PHP parsed) source code:

View of the page as it appears in Firefox:
