• I’m running WP 2.8.x on a server where I also have an install of MediaWiki. All of a sudden, the content of both blog and wiki refuses to appear, although it is still in the database. Here’s what the problem looks like:

Users can login to WP, but once logged in, WP seems unable to find posts and pages: It reports correctly that there are 15 published posts and 3 pages, but under Posts > Edit, it says “No posts found” (same thing under Pages > Edit).

On the frontend, headers and footers seem alright, but the content is gone. There are correct links to monthly archives and pages, but the pages only return a 404.

Similarly, users can log into MW, but any page returns an “Internal error!”.

I’d expect this to be some sort of MySQL problem, but since both WP and MW seem to be able to access their user tables, but not posts/pages, I don’t really know where to start troubleshooting. Any suggestions?

Ok, disabling the WP plugin Event Calendar seems to have solved half the problem: Posts and pages in WP are now back, but MW still reports an internal error — which, if I understand it correctly, is also related to a plugin (MW extension), but it’s hard to tell which one: “Detected bug in an extension! Hook fnSelectCategoryOutputHook failed to return a value; should return true to continue hook processing or false to abort.”

(I know this is not a Mediawiki forum, but since the problems seemed to be related, I thought it best to include this info, as I suspect that there might be some common cause to both problems…)
