   For some reason my website/blog has just suddenly lost all the pages (even though they are still there in the "manage" area) and I can't view anything in the archives. Again...i just get 404's. Does anyone know of any reason why this may have suddenly happened? The only thing i have done in the past few days apart from post is upload a .htaccess file which i have now removed to no effect.

   other blogs on my server also running wordpress have nothing wrong with them...

   my blog with the problem is http://leedsfest.org

   any help would be really appreciated. thanks!

   try uploading an empty .htaccess file and chmod to 666.
   go to your admin and set and save your permalinks.
   if this works chmod .htaccess to 644 for security.

   I just ran into the same problem after a failed upgrade to 2.8 and a lengthy restore of 2.7.1 (grrrr...)

   Can you shed some light on what this means?
   "chmod to 666"

   I can see all my posts in admin and they all show up in a search, but they're not visible.
