Hi! When I originally set my site up, I think I chose an option to have the width of the page fit the screen. Well, I don't have alot on my page and the sides look a bit empty on a wide screen. I may add more soon, but is there a way to set the page width to a constant, just so there's not all that open space on wide screens?

It almost certainly depends upon your current theme.
