Page template stops before content. (4 posts)

    Hi.

I am having difficulty with a page on my website. I have been asked to create a Staff directory on a page on my agency's website. I have created a two column scenario with easy columns and have formatted the page to show an image in the left column and a bio in the right column. The top several entries look perfect. However, as I continued my coding sequence, unfortunately, I noticed that the template of the page stops before my content is done. The background simply stops and the entries coding on this section begin to look chaotic and refuse to line up like the other entries before them. I have only three entries which line up perfectly, but need to add up to 30 more.

How do I adjust this page template to continue the background pattern/image until my content reaches it's end. Also, how do I adjust the template so that the content towards the bottom of the page adheres to the same rules as the content at the top of the page?

Please help and thank you for your time!
    -Sarah

if you are using a page template as in http://codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates, what is the full code of the page template?

    (please use the pastebin - http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code )

    does the page validate?

does 'easy columns' refer to a plugin? if so, what plugin exactly?

can you post a link to the problem page?

My website was developed with the Simple Catch Theme.

You can see a link to the problem page here:

    http://dev.sdcnyc.org/about-us/staff-directory/

Notice how things start going ary toward the bottom of the page.

I'm not sure if I am using a template in the way you mentioned. I'm sorry, I am not a web person, just a Millenial-aged person who happens to have the most computer skills at my agency.

Easy columns is a plugin. The name is as stated - Easy Columns.

The coding for this specific page is:

The coding for my page template (which is a general template used for all pages) is:

your linked page has several validation errors:
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdev.sdcnyc.org%2Fabout-us%2Fstaff-directory%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

particlular those with 'end tag for "div" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified' are likely to break a page.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Validating_a_Website

as the 'div' errors seems to be related to the use of the plugin (they don't appear for instance in the 'contact us' page), I suggest that you start a topic in the plugin's support section http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/easy-columns

    double check how the shortcodes are meant to be used;
using the shortcodes with the header tags h1 and h2 might be part of the problem (?)...
