[resolved] Page Restriction Works, But Doesn't Allow Members to Access Either (7 posts)

    Hello,
I am the President of the International Music and Entertainment Association, Inc. a non-profit. We decided to start allowing members to join/renew on our website, IMEAOnline.com.
So we have started using Paid Memberships Pro. Everything seems to be working fine other than the fact that the Page Restrictions are working, but still won't let members in. I have edited the page and checked the "Individual" Membership Type, but the pages still aren't allow our Membership users access the pages.
    Please help.

    Hi IMEAOnline,

Your members will have to be given the corresponding member level that allows them to access the "individual" membership type that you have assigned to that page or post. If you did not sell that level to them through a checkout process, you'll have to assign it to them in the admin.

If you would like more guidance or hands on help implementing this solution with Paid Memberships Pro, please sign up at http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/pricing.

They have, and even I have tried purchasing the membership and it won't let me access the page. Even as an admin (other than editing).

    Hi IMEAOnline,

It has nothing to do with whether you're an admin, it's the membership level assigned to the page, and the level of the person trying to access the page.

You can view our documentation on controlling content here, you will have to register to view.

Other than that, this is something we can help you with in either our "Do it for Me" or our paid support forums, as we'd need access to your site admin login details.

    Hope this helps.

IMEAOnline, what do you mean when you say that it won't let the users access the page? Does it show an error message? If so, what does it say? Is it the same message as what a visitor to the site gets?

Maybe you can give a link to your site so we can see what is happening?

PMPro membership is usually pretty easy to set up. It may be something simple. You could try using the membership level shortcodes to protect some inline content to see if that works - the instructions are in the link that Lisa provided.

The message it gives is this:
This content is for Individual members only. Register here.
However, I'm already registered and signed in as an "Individual" member. I'm usually pretty savvy with WordPress and technical issues. I feel like this is a minor issue that could easily be resolved, but not sure. Is there anyway I could grant you access to help me?

    Hi IMEA,

First you may want to register for access to our documentation and confirm that you've set up correctly - See this page LEFT option http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/pricing/

Then if you need additional help, you can register for one of our pro support plans. That would allow us to do things like access your site if you are not able to resolve.

    Hope this helps!
