@acesabre - good to hear it fixed this issue. Thank you for sending in your bug report for the other issue. We'll check into it.

Thank you everyone for reporting back that the v1.9.12 resolved this issue for you! :)

@kathemo - Please provide answers to the following:

    - WordPress up to date?
    - NextGEN up to date?
    - What version of NextGEN Gallery did you upgrade from? (i.e. I had 1.9.8, then upgraded to 1.9.12)

(please confirm the following, with your server host tech) :
    - MySQL up to date (at least 5.2.4)?
    - PHP up to date (at least 5.0)?
    - The mod_rewrite Apache module activated?
    - PHP Safe Mode OFF?

Additional information that will help us find a solution:
    - Who are you hosted with?
    - What theme are you running?
    - Which plugins do you have installed and activated?
    - Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery), and then reactivate NextGEN Gallery only? (*be sure to clear your browser cache and reload your site after deactivating)

    Hi,

I resolved the issue after adding the code to wp-config.
The error I saw in wordpress is: "SKIPJS[0]....." in my URL bar.
Furthermore my display directly showed a 403 permission error.

This error was tough to solve.

The error does not occur with a normal twentyeleven theme. Therefore I thought I eliminated an error in the NGG plugin. I suspected there was a fault in my theme. I was proven wrong.

I can reproduce the error very easy, so if you need help, let me know on: [ redacted, support is offered via the forum and not email ]

    Using version 1.9.12
Theme: Premium theme called Artemis from Themeforest.

Operating System : WINNT (32 Bit)
    Server : Microsoft-IIS/7.5
    Memory usage : 14.77 MByte
    MYSQL Version : 5.5.20
    SQL Mode : Not set
    PHP Version : 5.4.8
    PHP Safe Mode : Off
PHP Allow URL fopen : On
    PHP Memory Limit : 128
PHP Max Upload Size : 20M
PHP Max Post Size : 8M
    PCRE Backtracking Limit : 500000
PHP Max Script Execute Time : 300s
    PHP Exif support : Yes ( V1.4 )
    PHP IPTC support : Yes
    PHP XML support : Yes

    Graphic Library

GD Version : bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
    FreeType Support : Yes
    FreeType Linkage : with freetype
    T1Lib Support : No
    GIF Read Support : Yes
    GIF Create Support : Yes
    JPEG Support : Yes
    PNG Support : Yes
    WBMP Support : Yes
    XPM Support : No
    XBM Support : Yes
JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support : No

    @photocrati

Yes, WordPress is up to date
Yes, NextGEN is up to date
I don't remember what version of NextGEN I upgraded from.

    MySQL (MariaDB 5.3)
    PHP 5.3
    mod_rewrite Apache module is activated
    PHP Safe Mode is ON

    I am hosted with NearlyFreeSpeech.net
I am running a custom child theme of Thematic
Plugins: Akismet, All in One SEO Pack, Contact Form, Project Honey Pot Spam Trap, W3 Total Cache

I deactivated all plugins, changed theme to default, cleared cache and then turned on NextGEN and it still ran into the error: The requested URL could not be retrieved. Invalid Request.

    @photocrati @sanderbaks

Adding the define(‘NGG_JQUERY_CONFLICT_DETECTION’, false) in wp-config.php fixed the refresh issue but the Add Gallery/Images is blank.
