I have been editing my site for several weeks now and all page and post content updates saved with no errors and showed up on my site as I was updating. I have been backing up my site files and my database is backed up daily by my hoster. Yesterday I followed the instructions for 'Moving WordPress' and having both my old and new site to work. When I restored my original sites database and files, the site appearance is correct but the content/data on all of my posts and pages is either gone or a very early revision. I can see a "revision history" list on the pages but the data in all of the revisions, no matter how far back I go, is exactly the same. I have already restored 3 days back (a day at a time) on my files and database backups and the database looks like it was not storing my post/page content for awhile because it is not in the wp_posts table of any of my database backups from the past several days. Is there some kind of caching that goes on that would allow my updates to appear on my site but not be stored in the database? Any hope of recovering my last 2-3 weeks of work?
