page overlapping categories

    anyone? I’m really having a problem with this, say I have a page named ‘fish’ and an article under a category also named ‘fish’, it seems when I try to go directly to the article (single) wordpress fails.

    Something seems to be wrong in the directory structure whereas once you assign a page to it I can’t go to /fish/article20 whereas /fish is my page.

    Anyone?

    well i fixed it by changing my permalink structure, but it appears you will run into problems if you set your perm link to start with /%category%/ if you have a page that has already reserved that url

    I just don’t get it why are you surprized… If you have two physical files/directories with the same name on your site, would that work? I think it’s normal to experience some conflict even in the case of “virtual” directories and/or filenames.
