   Can anyone give me a clue as to why this page is fine except for certain versions of IE?

   Because IE hates the world. lol. Can you specify which versions it is not displaying properly?

   You are right! Right now I know version 9 is not showing, not sure about others yet

   apparently version 8 shows ok,
   maybe I need to update to a newer WordPress?

   someone just told me it's not working on their version of IE 8 now, ugh...
