Page (not Post) suffix (2 posts)

Hello all - I am presently testing 2.5, but this issue also exists on all earlier versions.

I have been tasked to migrate a site from a standard HTML built site over to wordpress. It's very important that I keep the page names exactly as they are, for obvious reasons.

I have done this easily for all the pages that can be made by doing "posts" by changing the permalink, like this:

    /%category%/%postname%.php

However, I now need to make around 15 pages that are not in categories. Best way is to use the "pages" functionality, of course. However, I have never been able to find a way to add .php suffix onto a Page ULR Permalink. Can anyone help me to find a way to do this?

I have tried amending the Permalink for the Page, but everytime I add .php it strips out the . ending up with http://www.mysite.com/name-of-pagephp (for example) it probably strips it for a good reason, but can I get around this behaviour?

I basically need to add .php onto all pages.

Thank You in advance for any hints you can give.

If the above is impossible, what is the possibility of putting all the "pages" as posts into the uncategorized category, and then stripping the word "uncategorized" from all the URLs site-wide? That would work just as well I guess.

Any other options would be welcomed.

    Thank You.
