"Page Not Found" Showing in Page Title of Blog Posts (6 posts)

    Hi there,

Here are the two posts I'm having problems with:

    1. http://jonathanrick.com/2003/12/palestinian-victimhood-self-fulfilling-and-self-perpetuating/

    2. http://jonathanrick.com/2004/05/the-bad-germans/

The page titles for both are as follows:

Page not found - Jonathan Rick, No Straw Men

I can't ascertain why "Page not found" is showing, since both posts have titles--as does every other post on my blog.

I've tried deleting the posts and creating new ones, but to no avail.

Also, I don't have any draft posts.

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it? I'd greatly appreciate any insights.

    Thanks a lot.

Since both posts are currently displaying, I can only assume that there's a problem with your meta-title in header.php. It might help if you dropped a copy of that file into the WordPress pastebin..

No problem here. Maybe you need to clean cash.

@xewax: the post display is fine but the page meta-title is displaying 404 - Page not found.

    Hi esmi,

Thanks for your reply. I just copied header.php into http://wordpress.pastebin.ca. The resulting page doesn't seem to produce any errors.

Forgive my ignorance, but should I be looking for something in particular?

Note: This problem occurs only with these two posts; all my other posts are fine.

    Thanks again!

Um - can you give me the pastebin url for your file?

Another thought - what plugins do you have running? Have you tried deactivating them and seeing if that resolves the problem? I had a very similar issue only today when a new plugin caused wp_title() to return a null string.
