• Hi there,

    I updgraded my 2.65 to 2.7

Now in some pages I got 404 page error:

    • wp-admin/tools.php
    • wp-admin/media-new.php
    • wp-admin/options-media.php
I used the “automatic upgrade” plugin to update the 2.7

      I trying to re-upload “wp-admin” and “wp-includes” folders, full.

I thinking about a DataBase problem.

      Any idea ?

      Thanks for help.

  • I would say you don’t have all the WordPress files uploaded. Revisit Steps 7 and 8 of Upgrading WordPress Extended.

Those files what in fact “doesnt exist” = “not found” exist !

I found the files in my hosting.

Like I said, I uploaded the full folders. The wp-content doesnt give any update.

Well i successfully upgraded from 2.6.5 TO 2.7 without any problem just my WP-sticky which is solved now.

    So here’s the formula to successfully upgrade ur site;

    1) Don’t use automatic update option, do it manually

    2) Follow the intructions.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended

    Upload files using ur FTP

    Note: Don’t follow this rule

“wp-content folder; Special Exception: the wp-content/cache and the wp-content/plugins/widgets folders should be deleted”

    Just delete wp-content/cache don’t delete wp-content/plugins/ folder

and u’ll get fully working site.

    Working !

    1) Deleting all the files (including the cache and widgets)
    2) Uploading the downloaded pack from wordpress

    Thanks all for help

I upgraded from 2.6.5 to 2.7 by automatic upgrade and the only problem I have so far is I’m missing two main pages. They are still in my categories but not in posts. They just disappeared. The other problem I have is I’m not as technical as most of the people on this forum. I really don’t know where to look for the problem. Can anyone advise?

    Thanks for your help.
