   Would appreciate any help on this matter. A couple of days ago the blog started performing TERRIBLY. To the point where it would not completely load the page. Recent posts are not being sent out on feeds. I have no idea what I am doing.

   The only think that has changed in that time frame was
   - notable increase in traffic.
   - Configured permalinks

   Now when I try to access /feed or the site map I am getting:

   Redirect Loop
   Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
   The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

   I need help in troubleshooting this. any direction would be appreciated.

   try resetting permalinks to default
   is everything working?
   now set permalinks to desired
   http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Choosing_your_permalink_structure
   might want to review that - some permalinks aren't desirable and lead to performance issues

   That rocks. Thank you very much. That fixed it. I will research further and layer in my changes carefully.

   might this affect why i no longer see my most recent post on my Google Reader?

   yes - but they should show up
