• [I think I’ve done due diligence looking for a solution before posting, though I may have missed something..]

Pages are displaying index.html instead of the page. I can access and edit pages in the admin panel, but if I try to preview them or go to the page address, it’s showing index.html. Active plugins are Headspace, Akismet, Extended Category Widget, and Google XML Sitemap. Page links are on the menu bar.

    I appreciate any thoughts, thanks!!

  • Sorry? I can’t see any problem ion your site.

I can … take the links on menu bar in header … what ever you click on … no contact form shows … always the poodles – minus the advert 2ndary header thing called feature breeder

you also have an issue here:

    http://thebestpoodlebreeders.com/baerwoods-toy-poodles/

the sidebar doesn’t go up all the way and it shows a leftover –>

what ever you click on … no contact form shows

Then it’s likely you have an issue with that particular page and/or the plugin you;re using for your contact form.

the sidebar doesn’t go up all the way and it shows a leftover –>

That’s an IE-specific problem. The validation errors on that page may be a contributing factor.

hm, i didn’t use ie when accessing her site. mac and mac browsers only on my side. it is not just the contact form that doesn’t show … (not that I really know what we are supposed to see)

Thanks for looking at my site..! Yeah if you click on Contacts it should show my email address, if you click on “Get Your Own Poodle Ad” it should show instructions etc. (those are the only page links I have on the homepage)

But it’s showing index.html for all pages.

Posts are ok though (except for the display issue chartinael mentioned). I’ve tried uploading changes to pages, they save correctly in the editor but Preview or View Page still shows index.html.

chick, try to solve issues from validator. are those links in the header theme induced or manually put? you might want to resort to page-ids until this is solved.

The links in the header are deliberate, my code is just sloppy.

I’m not sure what you mean about resorting to page-ids, are you talking about permalink structure?

Set your permalinks back to the ugly default setting for now

Okay I changed back to default permalinks.

Also I just deactivated 2 plugins – Headspace and Google XML Sitemaps – since they’re the only semi-recent ones I’ve added, but that didn’t help.

    Chicka,

hm … can you enter target=”_self” in the href tag? See if it makes a difference.

    What is that code for?
    <link rel='canonical' href='http://thebestpoodlebreeders.com/?page_id=44' />
