   When I put up a page on my site, it looks fine and it shows up in the menu bar. However, when I click back and forth between the HOME link and the About This Site link on the menu bar, I get a 404 page not found error message.

   The site URL is http://doomersdigest.com. This domain and the wp installation are in their own subdirectory, not in the root directory of the hosting account. I can access the home page just fine, using the above URL or the HOME link in the menu bar, but the page link doesn't work. The permalink for the page is set to http://doomersdigest.com/about-this-site/ and it looks fine in the wp-admin panel, but doesn't display when I click the link for it on the menu bar.

   What do I need to do?

   I found that there seems to be a problem with Permalinks in 3.0 and am having my hosting provider look into it. I will post about what they find out. So far, they discovered that the wordpress information was missing from the .htaccess file and corrected that (installation bug?). Then it turned out that the Permalinks only functioned correctly when set to the Default setting, not any of the other formats. He is looking into this, also.
