I'm really new to WordPress and much of the documentation is still way over my head, but I do get some of it. Here is my problem. I've created pages using a template called "Oriental." I want the parent page to appear in the top main navigation and on the sidebar, but I don't want the subpages (children) listed under the parent pages in the sidebar. I thought the Page Link Manager plugin was going to work great for me. Once installed I was able to see the heirachy of pages in Tools but when I unchecked the children pages it eliminates the entire list of pages (including parents) and the only way I could get the list back was to deactivate the plugin. Everyone says this plugin works great but maybe not for this version of WP- or maybe I just didn't understand what it would do. Does anyone have an idea about this plugin or how I can eliminate the subpages from the sidebar? Here is the site so far:
Or if anyone knows how to change this in the php, I'll try that. I've already dinked around with that, but honestly, that is way above my understanding level, and I don't want to mess too much without instruction. Thanks to anyone who responds. I appreciate your expertise.
