So I have this problem (even on WP vanilla) where if you have more then on e page of posts and you go to the next page: sitename.com/category/page/2/ I get a 404.
my perma link structure is category->posts (/%category&/%posts%/)
ideas?

If new site use /%postname%/ ..there is much written out there by certain search engines with a lack of respect back for WP, it is your best use and SEO option.
I'm sorry how does seo have to do with this? my issue is a 404 issue with clicking previous on a list of posts.....
I'm sorry but I don't think SEO is an option here. I use the permalink structure of /%category%/%post%/
now if there if I click "previous" to see older posts I get a 404 on the url structure of sitename.com/category/page/2/
why?
