Page in Home page slider

Hi Guys,
This is my first post. I am a new wordpress user and I am not a developer of any kind. However, i am trying to build this site http://www.mtest.com.au but since i dont know anything about coding, im facing great problem.
Ok here is my issue –
I want a ‘Page’ to appear on a home page slider. How do I do it? I can make a post to appear on the home page slider, but I cannot make a page to appear on slider.
To over come this issue, I created ‘post’ to appear like page without any comments and made them to appear on the slider, But by doing that I have lost my Blog functionality, meaning I switched off comments section. But my ideal solution will be if could create Static page (Page with no comment section and to appear on home page slider) and dynamic page (Blog)
I do not need to make blogs to appear on the slider.
How do i do it? I googled everwhere, getting no where. Am I looking at the wrong place?
