I am working on a static page that posts beautifully until I get to just over 9,300 words. When I try to add anything beyond that, the whole page disappears completely, just vanishes out of the edit page box and out of the universe.
I can't believe I've reached some outer limit in the db. But I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot this.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I've got it to just shy of 9,400 words before it crashes.
I've deactivated all plugins and reverted to the default theme with no change.
The only post I found that described this problem was here:

That thread began a year ago, with 11 replies . . . and apparently no resolution.
Is there anyone with some ideas on this?
Anything in your web server's error logs after you crash?

There was nothing in the error logs about it, but from the info you provided I gather it's primarily a hosting issue. So I'm marking it resolved.
