   I have a page with thousands of lines of html code. Recently I was updating it, and after saving, all the content of the page was gone! (Thank goodness for the back button) I tried restoring from previous versions, but saving still deletes the content. The page was originally created in WP 2.6 and worked fine in 2.7 until I saved the page.

   Next, I tried just typing a few words - worked fine. Then I tried validating the html code I was using - that is fine. I tried just putting in a few lines of that code - all fine. The code repeats with just non-code variables being updated, so no problem there. The problem only seems to occur with large amounts of code.

   Next, I tried turning off all plugins - plugins are NOT causing the problem. I tried creating a new page, same problem occurred. I have tried the code on another WP 2.7 blog on the same server and the same problem occurred.

   Finally, I can add the content directly to the database, but who wants to do that every time? Any ideas on fixing this problem?

   You would need to paste your post content in a pastebin and report the link back here. Maybe someone can spot a specific problem.

   I have also tried multiple browsers on both a mac and pc from different internet connections.

   I had problems pasting that whole thing into a post then hitting publish--it just left me with the post title and no content.

   But I started a new post, pasted your stuff into the content, then hit enter a a few characters and enter again and the word oount updated to 2850 and I was able to successfully publish the post.

   I need some help with this. You stated that you "hit enter" and then a few characters and then hit "enter again". What do you mean?

   I have one massive page that I have had to separate into five pages because it's reaching some kind of character limit. The page just won't show up (except for the title). Please help.

   Hi,

   I am experiencing the same problem

   paste in 6239 words (tried Michaels suggestion, even reformatted the whole doucument.

   The word count in the editor reads 6239

   Then I hit publish, it goes down to 1836 (or similar)

   I might go in to the DB and see if I can manually adjust the character limit for the field.
   But has anyone come across a solve?
