   The weirdest thing happened. I'm using 2.6.2 and everything's fine, except when from my homepage I click on "next page" and get to page/2/ - my two right hand sidebars are placed at the bottom of the post as if part of my stylesheet is not being recognized. Stranger still when I click through to page/3/ it all goes back to normal. It only just started happening today.

   It does this with every single theme that has a right hand sidebar so it seems to be something really broken in my wordpress install.

   I've deactivated plugins. Just backing up now because I'm going to try and replace the wp-admin folder, see if that does anything. If not I'm going to have to try a reinstall.

   Sigh... why do these things have to happen?

   If anyone has seen this behavior before, please let me know.

   You probably have code errors (unclosed/improperly nested div tags) or oversized content (a too wide image, video, etc.) in your posts on page two. Validate your code on page 2 and check your content sizes.

   Thanks iridiax, you're absolutely right and unfortunately I worked this one out AFTER I had uninstalled everything!

   After I reinstalled everything, I noticed that the problem had moved to my homepage. Then it suddenly occurred to me that I had 10 items default posted to the homepage (and 5 previously) ie it was just some problem in a post. The usual suspects some extra <div> tags. For some reason they didn't show up in the validation test I did.

   I'm kicking myself because I used to have that problem a lot (with embeds) and would never have blamed my wordpress install. I think it's just because I haven't had that issue in ages, I just completely forgot.

   Oh well, thanks for your help anyway - it's a lesson for next time! (and maybe to walk away for an hour before uninstalling my blog).

   Fortunately the backup looks to be working.
