P2 Theme Question (5 posts)

Does anyone know if we can configure the p2 theme to allow non-registered users to post on the feed? Basically, I would like to make it an open feed so that anyone (registered & non-registered) can post. Any idea on how to do this?

I looked around for that too, but couldn't find a solution. My workaround was to use comments intensively, all pointing to the master post. You get most of the same functionality of posting, and anyone can comment.

Thanks. How can I point the comments to the master post? Does it look like it would if there was no registration requirement?

By master post, I meant have a single post on the site that's the equivalent of "Post on this site by commenting/replying to this post". There are lots of options around comments to choose from, including allowing anyone to comment, with or without registration. You can also rename a lot of the pointers for comments. For example, you can swap 'Reply' with 'Post' and the user experience should be clear.

I have my P2 site set to require approval for the first comment someone makes, after that, they can post without my 'touching' the comment.
