Oxygen Theme: Sticky Posts are being moody…

Hi all,

I’m new to WordPress and have been slowly trying to pass over my old Blogspot blog to this one:

Now, aside from a more complicated interface, I’ve been loving WordPress! But my problem is that the theme I’ve been using (Oxygen) seems inexplicably moody with regard to sticky posts on the static page. Only some of the posts seem to react properly when marked as sticky. Others will vanish if marked as sticky; they’ll still be on the left sidebar as a recent post, but won’t appear in the main middle section at all.

I’ve tried deleting and reposting the particular posts that have this problem, but that had no effect. I tried using different pictures for the Featured Image, in case that was the issue, but nothing. Does anyone here have any idea how to fix this problem?
