   I have tried several times now to upgrade from version 2.7.1 to 2.8 automatically from the dashboard but every time I get the following error after a long pause:

   Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 30670848) (tried to allocate 2348617 bytes) in /homepages/20/d91352228/htdocs/e-lusion/wp-includes/http.php on line 1033

   Any ideas?

   add this line to top of wp-config.php
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

   It's OK, I deactivated all my plugins, tried again and it's worked.

   BTW, I tried this beforehand and it either did the same thing or there was an even longer pause which was then followed by it asking me to log in over and over.
