Please help. Our WordPress blog administrator left several months ago, taking with her the ADMIN login and password. I post to our blog weekly, but can't administrate anything, upgrade, add functionality or even see our traffic. How do we create a new ADMIN login and password for our existing site? We don't even have access to her old emails to see any admin information. It's urgent. We're on version 2.5 and would like to upgrade to latest version.

Posted 2 years ago #No. I have nothing! We're a non-profit and our network support and admins have a revolving door. I'll try the links and see if i can do anything.

Posted 2 years ago #You can't do anything that I can see if you don't have an admin password, or access to any of the back end.....
Who owns the server? Someone has got to be able to give server access so you can reset admin password from the server side.

Posted 2 years ago #Thanks. I'm trying to contact someone who may be able to help us locate this on the server. I don't have admin rights on the server, either, so I can't find any of this. I'll post again if I can find anything.

Posted 2 years ago #yup. Once you are able to gain access to the server/DB, you shoudl be able to change the admin's password to gain access.
