Hi, I have just installed wordpress and am a bit of a newb. I dont want to use the online article creator for various reasons, and cannot find a way to upload my own articles but still have them treated the same way as one created on wordpress.

If you could help it would be great!

Take a look at the Weblog_Client article in Codex.

    There's also blogging by email.

I will explain what I want. My normal permalink structure is year/post-name

I want a page called http://www.myexample/advertise.php that is treated the same way as every other page.

How would I do this? I have tried just adding the xhtml into the template, but I just goes call to undefined header. I think there has to be another way but I cant figure it out.

Would this be a part of the blog? using the blog's theme?

If so, all you do is create a Page at Dashboard -> Write -> Page. It would have the URL of http://example.tld/advertise/
