Organize Category Page into Images

Hello,

I am planning to redesign my blog. I happen to stumble upon this blog: http://www.lushlee.com/ I really like the way Ange has organized her categories into an image page like this page: http://www.lushlee.com/design/ . I would really like to do something similar to this. I have searched around in hopes to find a plugin for this but haven’t had much luck. Does anyone know where I can find a plugin for this? Or do you think she coded this herself? I would ask her but she doesn’t have any contact information.
