Options table corrupting

    I have seven sites running on wordpress, and three of them have all within the last two weeks went down due to a corrupted wp_options table. After dropping and restoring the table from backups the site comes back.

    Is this happening to anyone else?

    I’ve never had that happen before. If I had to make a guess, I’d say it’s a plugin problem, but that will take awhile to troubleshoot.

    If you can, try decativating all plugins (maybe leave Akismet active for anti-spam purposes). If that resolves the issue, begin to slowly reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    I’m just having the same problems; used phpmyadmin to repair the wp_options table – that this has happened on the same day suggests that it might be the same root problem.

    The only plugin I found that was present in all the sites was the Google XML Sitemap plugin. I’m updating all plugins and updating wordpress from 2.9 to 3.0 to see if it still happens. Will let you guys know if this fixes things.
