   the static home page option is missing under settings>reading.

   was it moved ? I can't find it anywhere.

   Are you sure you're logged in as administrator?

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

   - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

   - re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

   I've tried all of those checkpoints to a tee, and I'm still having this problem as well.

   This is happening to me at the moment
   I have already deactivated all plug ins - swapped back to 20 12
   not techy enough to do the resetting plugins folder.
   Any other ideas?
