    Hi dpowney!

Is there any way to opt-out click and taps of specific users, including admin?

    Hi,

Not at the moment. But I will look at adding this feature in a future release. By opt out for specific users do you mean WordPress logged in users where you can add the usernames to ignore? What is the reason you would want this? This will help me learn how important this feature might be.

    Thanks,
    Daniel.

    Daniel,

In my case, I just wanted to know if it is possible to prevent my own clicks from being recorded.

The reason why I mentioned "specific users" is that perhaps there is some demand to ignore their clicks, too.

Sorry, "their clicks" means of Admin, Editors, Contributors and so on.

Please find this feature added in Release 3.1.0 available now. Let me know if this is exactly what you had in mind.

    Thanks,
    Daniel.

    Hi,
    Thanks dpowney!

And if you don't mind, could you please add the option to exclude the count of clicks/taps of the specified roles, so that I can recognize clicks/taps of visitors?

I was thinking maybe adding an "unknown" checkbox instead for anonymous or non logged in users. What do you think? Or an extra option with a radio button for hide or show roles.

    Hi,

That seems to be a good idea for websites which have bbPress or BuddyPress, but I am not sure how much demand there is for that kind of function for websites without such plugins.

    Hi,

I've added a None option for non logged in users or visitors. This allows both exclude and include of roles by doing a reverse of the roles to hide.

    Does this satisfy your requirement?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    dpowney,

Oh, it's great to see that you have added that function in a day!
    I appreciate that :-)
