Opera and RSS (2 posts)

One of our readers is attempting to subscribe to our RSS feed using Opera but Opera doesn't seem to like it. It looks like the files are being created correctly. Bloglines and the Firefox Live Bookmarks features are okay with them. I searched here and the Codex and can't find any other reference to this happening. Is this an isolated incident? The reader seemed to feel that our references to the feeds in the <head> tag should refer to specific files rather than directories. The site in question is here: http://www.visualbeing.com/

    Thanks!

Hmm. Seems an issue with the 'default' feed url as provided on your server. For example, this works:

    http://www.visualbeing.com/feed/rss2/

    but not this:

    http://www.visualbeing.com/feed/

    Two options:

    1. Manually add the feed/rss2/ (and feed/rss/ for the .92 feed) url into your template, instead of using the template tags that generate them.

    2. Update to WordPress 1.5.1.3. There have been a number of RSS bugs resolved since 1.5.
