    Is there a simple way to get a link on my menu to open in a new tab or window? (I know how to do it with regular links but not with menu links.)

    Thanks!

    @Clipnyc

    When you are on the menu page in wordpress dashboard, there is a Screen Options at the right top corner. Click it and select the 'Link Target' in 'Advance menu properties'. You will see the link target dropdown in the menu item below. Select open in new tab for your menu item...

    @Liones

    For regular links.....
    If you are using visual editor of wordpress then while creating any link it will ask you for target

    • open in new window
    • open in same window..........so choose according to your needs.

    But if you want to create a link in HTML formats so target="_blank" is to use in html...
    For example (general link)
    <a href="http://bloggmaker.com" title="WordPress blog expert">WordPress Designer</a> = WordPress Designer

    (open in new tab - Targeted link)For this just change a little in your html link add target="_blank"
    <a href="http://bloggmaker.com" target="_blank" title="WordPress blog expert">WordPress Designer</a>

    bloggmaker - I thank you. This was bothering me and I couldn't figure it out. A perfect explanation. Thanks again

    For some reason, this functionality is not working for me in Weaver 2.2. Is this something to do with the fact that the page I am trying to open from the navigation is a squeeze page plugin?
