    Hi Boštjan,

Thank you so much for crafting this fine plugin! It looks like it could be the perfect solution for a simple twitter feed to take care of the API 1.1 updates that are coming soon.

I was trying to modify the PHP to support opening the twitter links in a new window via HTML: target="_blank"but couldn't seem to sort the problem without breaking the plugin.

Do you have any suggestions for code modification?

    Please Advise
    Seth

Download 2.1.2, and mark the checkbox "Open Twitter feed links in new window".

    Cheers!

    Boštjan,

Thank you so much for the record response time!

Just tested it and it seems to work perfectly for everything but the hashtags which open in a not found search window. The "#" is replaced with a "%23" when I test it… might be a unicode conversion issue there? Are you seeing that result on your end by any chance?

If so, would you guess there is a solution for that or is this a sticking point to API?

    Cheers
    Seth

Rather I should say, the "#" is replaced with a "%23" in the URL when I test it.

    For example: https://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23dcfy14

    Try 2.1.3.

It seems the URL has changed or it will be deprecated, and Twitters APIs and updates are a nightmare to follow.

    Cheers.

    Boštjan,

Thank you for trying to solve so quickly!

The hashtag links still doesn't seem to resolve properly.

Do you think it would be easy enough to choose to reroute the entire tweet link to the actual status update?

That might avoid future troubles with the API.

Just thought I might suggest the idea…

    Thank you so much!

Which hashtag link are you using?

The links resolve perfectly on my end - take this url for example, looking for all #lol tags:

    https://twitter.com/search?q=%23lol

    Hi Boštjan,

The plugin provides a link with the following syntax:
    https://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23dcfy14

but the new twitter API only seems to support this syntax:
    https://twitter.com/search?q=%23dcfy14

Looks like the syntax of the hashtag URL is what is creating the error.

Thank you so much for looking onto this! I owe you a beer ;)

    Cheers

    Hey,

The issue is (should) be fixed in the new version of the plugin, 2.1.3. I hope :)

    Cheers!

    Yikes, I think I spoke too soon…

The hashtag URL still resolves as "https://search.twitter.com/search" instead of "https://twitter.com/search"

    Sorry about that one…

Sorry about that, my bad, didn't update both links.

Download the latest (2.1.4) should be fixed now.

    Cheers.
