[resolved] Open Post in Light Box, Not New Page (5 posts)

When "read more" for a post is clicked from the archive/category page, I would like for it open in a lightbox instead of a separate page.

So the concept that I'm using is something similar to http://www.jqueryscript.net/demo/jQuery-Plugin-For-Rotating-Elements-Clockwise-or-Counterclockwise-Aperture/demo/ but instead of the image opening in the lightbox, the post would pop-up in the lightbox.

The development site is http://www.adroitwebdesign.com/service/category/bankruptcy/alabama/birmingham/ So say a user clicks "Jane Smith" it takes them to a new page. I'd rather it open in a lightbox with the same information as in the box (advanced custom fields: Name, Address, Phone, Email, Website).

Any ideas on how I might make a lightbox work?

It appears that you have it working. If so, and you don't mind, please share your resolution so that others may benefit in the future.

I went with the Shadowbox JS plugin. There wasn't really anything in the settings that I needed to modify.

I put a link around the whole box....primarily because my case called for it to work more as a button than a "read more". So I added <a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="shadowbox"> to the archives template but basically you'd end up putting rel="shadowbox" wherever you'd like it to display as a lightbox/pop-up.

    I hope that helps!

This doesn't seem to work for me...even after enabling Jquey.

What do you think is going on?
