   Hello,

   I've downloaded xampp and got it running, installed WP and created some test themes.

   My Question:
   I have an old WP site which the domain name expired. I've downloaded the folder to my hd, but I can't figure out the steps to get it going. I've searched everywhere but can't find anything relating to this, can anyone help?

   Did you keep a backup of the database as well? you'll need it.

   The instructions to move a WP installation should help.
