[resolved] Only partially saving page to subsites (10 posts)

It seems when creating a page at the main site level, after selecting that I want it posted out to the sub-sites, WordPress only saves the title of the page for the sub-sites and none of the content. This only happens with pages (not posts, for example - although in posts, no images are ever saved over to sub-sites).

I've checked the database and the entirety of the page shows for the main site tables and only the title shows for the sub-site tables. Any clue as to how to fix this (if it's fixable)?

  2. Which plugin are you using to do the push?

From what I can tell, there isn't a plug-in that deals with this. Rather, a post-types.php page. I came into this project after the fact so I'm flying a tiny bit blind. Is there a plug-in out there that will specifically post out pages (as well as other post types)?

  4. There is absolutely nothing built into WordPress that, by default, pushes a page on the main site to any other site. So ... it's either a function in your theme or a plugin.

Ok, thanks. That's what I was leaning toward. Sigh. That means digging into that post-types.php page that *another* person created. Thanks for the help, Ipstenu!

Ipstenu - I located the issue. Apparently, it only saves all the bits of the page if one selects the correct page template. If it's left to default, it doesn't save. Odd.

This still doesn't address why Featured Images doesn't work across the subsites. Any clue?

  7. What do you mean by 'across' the subsite?

If you just mean 'On one of my subsites, featured images doesn't work.' then I'd put money on your theme. Does it have TimThumb?

Featured images won't work on any subsite created. It works on the main site but not the rest. Yes, the theme does have TimThumb so I'm going to check into the solutions I've found regarding TimThumb.

  9. It's the theme :/

TimThumb does not like Multisite much at all.

That's what I'm finding out. I'm jumping into a site designed by someone else - never fun. Ok, this can be closed out as I'm pretty certain this is tied in with TimThumb. Thanks!
