    Hi! I am new to WordPress and I cannot figure out why only part of my header image is displayed on my site. I am transferring our site from WordPress.com Twenty Ten Theme, to WordPress.org Twenty Eleven Theme. My WordPress.com site is here: http://tastingweek.wordpress.com. The image is sized to 940 x 198.

    I know the header size in Twenty Eleven is 1000 x 288. But when I upload my image in Twenty Eleven it cuts off the right side of the image and the logo is not displayed. See: http://tastingweek.com.

    Since the header dimensions in Twenty Eleven is larger than my image, why is part of my image cut off? How can I fix this?

    Please, is someone able to help me? Thanks!

    the header uploader is stretching the image dimension to fit the given space;

    edit your header image in a graphic editor to fit the new size before uploading it.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try.
