I'd like only the date, city, venue, and country to display with the option to click on a "plus" icon to view the info for the particular show. Is this possible? Kind of how Myspace does it with it's "upcoming shows" section.

Yes indeed, just get into the custom templating. You could show more info that's hidden with javascript, or use a link to the related post to get at more details.
