    Hey friends

I want to know if it's possible to install a wordpress on two different databases like (wpdb1, wpdb2). Can I store the plugins (the tables which they create) in wpdb2 in order to maintain security? Or is there any other possibility to secure my database of wordpress in case of single db.

    Please let me know asap.

    Thanks in advance.

the easiest way to make your database secure is to make regular backups. also, there are plugins for repairing and optimizing databases, you can try those. But over all, if you make regular backups, there should not be any problems.

This is a fairly common scenario that is handled more gracefully by other CMS's (in my opinion). Basically, you want WP to live in its own database, and you might have a totally separate database that has nothing to do with WP. E.g. client data, products, whatever.

I don't believe WP offers any sort of native support for this, but you can roll your own database connection functions that point to the 2nd database and use them in your plugins.

    Hope this helps.
