one structure if thumbnail – one if not present

    I’m looking to have my site display a certain structure if a post has a thumbnail present and one if a thumbnail is not present. I’ve tried a number of of solutions but none seem to work. This is what i have been using that doesn’t seem to work:

    If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated!

    can you explain how it is ‘not working’?

    what is showing with your code?

    can you post a link to your site to illustrate the result of the above code?

    The above code actually worked. I didn’t have the functions.php file uploaded to the server.
