    Hello All,

My URL is URL. The first post is a sticky post. I want it to only show that one post at all times and all other post go under widgets > recent posts in sidebar. How would I accomplish this? I've already set reading to display one post but as you can see, it is still showing my second post on the bottom.

    All The Best,

    Edward

start by making a child theme of Twenty Eleven to work with; http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

possibly create a static front page with a custom page template with a custom query to fetch only the one sticky post.

to get the sidebar right with a page template with sidebar, see my article 'Twenty Eleven – New Page Template with Sidebar Correction'.

you have to create a page using a template where you can define which post you want to show and other post can be shown on another page.
for implementing this you have to change settings in theme there is an option "customize" there you can find option for making default view to static front page.

I have static frontpage for my website which contains some post from selective category and some static content .
