[resolved] One Post Appears Twice In Excerpts List (8 posts)

In the list of excerpt-posts on my home page, the sticky appears twice. Once at the top of the list: http://cultureblog.modelpeopleinc.com/

and again at the end of the list on the bottom of the second page: http://cultureblog.modelpeopleinc.com/page/2/

It is in only one category (HOME).

"Read the rest..." leads to the same permalink from both excerpt-posts.

What it's supposed to do is appear just once at the top of the list, and I can't figure out what's making it appear again. It didn't do this for most of yesterday. Until last night, it appeared just at the beginning of the list like it's supposed to.

What I did in the meantime was:

    1. add new posts
    2. adjust html of a text widget for in the menu list in the left nav area
    3. deactivate the plugin Simple Facebook Connect
    4. upload the facebook graphic to my server
    5. add a text widget to make the facebook graphic appear in the nav area

    That's about it.

How can I make it stop displaying the sticky twice?

In what file do you find the code that the the codex linked-to above is referring to?

    I don't see it anywhere.

Don't use a home.php template file in a theme. It causes problems. Create a custom front-page.php template file instead.

That is theme specific. You need to search through your themes template files yourself.
