    I've narrowed the problem down to content that is within an <iframe> (since when i removed the <iframe> code from the WP page the footer appears)

    however i am having one hell of a time diagnosing the issue. I have another page using an iframe that is pulling content from a different (but very similar) page which does not have the same problem, so i have something to compare it to. However i can't see any difference in the code of the two pages at all. i've gone through them both line for line.

    here are the two:

    good page (no problem with footer)

    bad page (something here that is breaking the footer in WP)

    i even looked at the page in firebug and did not see any error

    here is the page where the footer is missing:

    domain names and business

    it appears that you have not closed the iframe properly.

    this is your code:

    <iframe src="http://dawp.dev.dnfu.net/business-subscribe.html" width="300" height="865px" alt="newsletter subscriber form" />

    and this is what i assume i should look like:

    <iframe src="http://dawp.dev.dnfu.net/business-subscribe.html" width="300" height="865px" alt="newsletter subscriber form" >
    <p>some text to show if the browser does not support iframes</p>
    </iframe>

    see:

    (where i assume that you don't need to have this
    <p>some text to show if the browser does not support iframes</p>
    - you could also have a fixed link instead of this text, to the page that would othersise be in the iframe)

    alchymyth got it. (again!!)

    i think TinyMCE must have stripped out the </iframe> closing tag and turned it into <iframe .... />

    THANK YOU!!!!!
