I'm a beginner here, and am looking for some help. Every time I upload a photo to my blog post and look at it in visual, it looks fine. When I publish it there are HUGE spaces beneath the photos that I inserted. I've taken a look at the code (which means nothing to me) and there are a lot of &ndsp 's after each photo. I erase some of them, then save changes but it doesn't change anything.
Computer savvy friends, help?
Thanks.

I'm a beginner, too ... everytime I upload an image it gets cut off and won't allow me to edit it in any way ... WHAT IS GOING ON?!?

Hey -- here's a link...hope you can help.

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I'm working my way through your list to see if it helps. When I say beginner, I mean I don't really have a clue what I'm doing. Someone designed this site for me, so this is really new for me...
I don't want to change the theme for fear it will ruin what's already there...have deactivated all the plugins and that didn't fix it either. Will try resetting the folder next to see if that helps...thanks!
