• Hi there,

I’ve been having trouble with my theme breaking lately. It is definitely a plug-in issue, but I still haven’t found the one that is causing the trouble. So, I have to watch my site vigilantly and change it when it reverts to default.

Just yesterday, I renamed the old default theme default2 and left my themes folder without any theme titled just default. This morning, I noticed that my theme reverted to Twenty Ten instead of to the old Kubrik default. So, I was wondering…where is it in the code that WordPress knows to look for Twenty Ten as the default when it is not actually labeled the default?

If there is some coding that tells the program to revert to a certain theme for default, then why can’t I set my current theme as the default theme? I’ve been using WP for at least 5 years, so I know that’s easier said than done.

If anyone has thoughts on this, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Melanie
