On Sidebar I want to put my recent posts inside blocks (4 posts)

Hi, I'm using the Andreas 09 template and I want to put each of my individual recent posts, as displayed on the sidebar, into neat little boxes in the same way that 'categories' and 'archives' are. On my wordpress.com site the recent posts were already displayed in the boxes but this doesn't seem to be the default now that I'm using Andreas 09 on wordpress.org.

    Anyone help?

With the Widgets plugin you can rearrange your sidebar the same way as on wordpress.com (recent posts function included, and many more available).

Yes, but doing that doesn't place the recent post titles in blocks. I suppose I need a way to apply the same rules to recent posts as are already applied to Categories and Archives.

Sorry to bump my own thread but I'm stumped. I can see information in the style sheet that seems to be about placing 'categories' and 'archives' inside blocks but when I try to apply that to my recent posts nothing happens. In fact nothing seems to happen at all when I adjust the style sheet. I'd even settle right now for adding a bit more space around each individual listed post so that it doesn't look so cluttered.
